R.I.P.

I had to say goodbye to my good friend Nemo...he died this evening about 10 minutes ago. I only have one picture of him, and it's unfortunately kind-of far away.

I hope he's not suffering anymore....

Comic Relief 2006

This was an HBO special that was a fundraiser for the Hurricane Katrina Survivors. It was hosted by Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, and Billy Crystal, and had many guest appearances. One of which was Lewis Black, and I will quote, word for word, the very end of his little stand-up as my "favorite quote of the month."

"The people of New Orleans, let me just say, it might be a good idea to buy two or three Nuclear Weapons, ceceed from the country, because if you establish yourself as a foreign government, and threaten the government of the United States...Maybe the government of the United States will begin to respond, and begin to rebuild."

Hmmm...

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

The Midland
The Northeast
Philadelphia
The South
The West
Boston
North Central

What American accent do you have?

I actually say 'soda' most of the time, but that comes from my German roots. My dad and Grandmother are both full German. I've also never been accused of being an "Okie" so I guess I can't argue.

Strange Ways of the World...

Okay, so...random question.

I bought some gummy candies called 'Juicee Gummee'. I got Peach Rings, and Strawberry Dreams. When I looked over the ingredients of both, I was perplexed.

How come, in the ingredients of the Peach Rings, it listed 'Apple and Strawberry Juices' but in the Strawberry Dreams it listed 'Apple and Peach Juices' ???

Does that make sense to anyone else?

Happy (belated) Halloween

The reason this post is belated, is because I was in Kansas the week of Halloween, and we had our family Halloween party this last Saturday. I have pics to show off. I hope everyone had a good one.

First off, THIS is a link to pictures from Stacey's Halloween party. Just the 2006 pictures, of course.

Roger and I carved this pumpkin together. (sorry the pics are kind-of blurry, I didn't take them)

(Without flash) The other lit pumpkin is Stacey's.

Then here are some links to pictures taken at the family party (there are quite a few):

My dad's pumpkin.
My sister's pumpkin.
This is my dad, my sister, and my pumpkins all together, with flash.
This is all three without flash.
Marcus' pumpkin. The eyeball opened, and red gooey stuff would come out.
These are costumes that I sewed, and my aunt did the pattern work for.
This is my mom's costume, overall. She looked so sessy!
Closeup!
Even the cats were having fun!
