New Rant

Okay..so, it's been almost a month since my last post. Not a whole lot has went on, regarding the house buying and things like that. We close in a week, so pressure and excitement were starting to build.

I get a call from Kyle (loan officer) sometime mid-week telling me that he has papers for Roger to sign and he's bringing them to me to give to him. Then I get a call from his underwriter telling me that they need both of our social security cards and birth certificates, as well as, his last three years worth of *tax returns*. They already have the W2's, but that wasn't enough. So I get to digging..I found 2003, 2005, and 2006...but no 2004. So! Now we have to figure out what to do. Kyle asks, and she says "contact IRS." FUCK! Give me a fucking break...we go almost a month with hearing **NOTHING** from them, then all of the sudden they drop this egg in my lap. Roger's in his classes, and doesn't get home until after 5 usually, and I don't have a vehicle during the day. I call my mom, and she tells me that stuff like that usually takes 2 weeks to 2 months to get in, and why did they wait so long to tell you this? Well, beats me! She comes to get me on Friday, so that we can go to the IRS office in Tulsa. In a nutshell, they can't print out tax returns, they wish they could for all the requests they get, but they can't and he gives me a 1-800 number to call. I call the underwriter back and tell her this and she says, "Well, being 3 o'clock on a Friday, I don't know what I can do about it. I'll get back to you." (She still has yet to call back, btw.) Well! I'm so Sorry that I couldn't take care of this *yesterday* because I don't have a car! I told her that I took care of it as soon as I could being that I don't have a way to get around, and my mother had to come and get me to even be able to do it.

Okay, so, Roger calls the number today, since it was a weekend, and it's all automated. We can get just a transcript in 10 to 15 days, but if we want the actual return, it's $40.00 and 60 days. So I get an e-mail from Kyle at 5:00 today, saying, "I know you spoke with Shannon [underwriter] Friday and she has advised you on what to do to finish up. We still need your taxes for the past three years. If you have any problems locating these, let me know. I have a number here for Roger or you to call to get his 04 taxes. Now, you may have to pay a fee to get it done quicker, but I am not sure. 1-800-___-____ is the number to call. He needs to ask for a transcript from the IRS."

UGH! First of all, She did *not* call me back to "advise me on what to do to finish up" !!! She left me hanging, like everyone else affiliated with that PoS bank has done thus far. Oh, and, yea, thanks for the number, we took care of that part already, and it still takes up to 2 weeks, dipshit. We wouldn't be having this scrambling problem if you had been doing your job! So, I call him, and leave a message (surprize surprize...seeing as how that seems to be how all of my calls to him go, most of them unanswered) not being very friendly, and telling him to call me back, because we called that number already. He did actually call back *shocked* and I told him that the transcript will take 2 weeks, and the number was all automated. He said he was going to figure out how to speed up the process, so we'll see what happens with that.

What sucks about this whole thing is, we could have taken care of this a long time ago, and not be stressing about time...I'm not sure what it means if we don't get it in time...do we lose our bond money? Do we lose the house? I'm really stressed out and depressed, and just wishing that it would all be over already...I'm to the point now, where I don't even want to *talk* about the house in any way, because it just pisses me off, and stresses me out. I'm on the verge of tears all the time, and anger outbursts for no reason...I feel so sorry for my husband...He's done an outstanding job of putting up with me through all of this..

The only advice that I can give, for anyone looking to buy a house in the future, is **make sure** you do your research on your Loan Officer and it's affiliates. So far, we have been treated second rate or something through F&M Mortgage Company, LLC and I wish I would have *never* gone with them. Roger and I have been left in the dark, and always last to know everything. When we got accepted for the loan, after all the trouble we'd had and the waiting we'd done, we didn't even know we were accepted until our Realtor, Bruce, told me. Why were we the last to know that we'd been accepted? Shouldn't we have been the first people to know? And it's not been much better since then...keep your fingers crossed, and hope we still get in that house safely and soundly on Monday..

::smiles and returns the hugs:: Thank you, hun, just the support helps, you know?.

We're crossing our fingers that it is all resolved for now...at least...until something else comes along. ::shrugs:: I guess buying a house is not supposed to be easy, I just didn't realize that the lender would be the ones making all the stress for us.

I know I'm a little late coming into this (and everything else under the sun)...I'm sorry you're having such a shitty time with those stupid jerk-offs. You know you can bug me online anytime you want to talk (or complain).
