Updates

Okay, it was brought to my attention this weekend that when I previously wrote my Wedding Day entry, I tailored it to certain people that I knew for a fact would see it, and then left out some that I hadn't thought would see it. I am so blessed to have such a great supportive family and friends network, and I couldn't have done any of that without any and all of them. I am going to correct that and extend my thanks:

From the top:
My parents, I could never thank you both enough for everything you've done for me. We had a beautiful wedding that went smoothly once the ceremony actually got started, and that couldn't have happened without you both. I love you both so much, and I am so very lucky to be blessed with such great people as my parents. I wouldn't trade either one of you in, not even for newer models. ;o)

My sister, Miranda, Thank you for all the work you put into the decorating and preparations the day before and the day of. Thank you for getting the corsages sorted out, and the boutonnieres figured out and forced on the boys. I love you, hope your wedding goes as great as mine ended up with, and that you are as happy as I am.

Marcus, Thank you for all your time spent holding up signs in the strong chilly winds. Your major efforts directing people, really helped out a lot, and it didn't go unnoticed. We were very appreciative, and you probably helped get most of the guests that braved it in the right place.

My uncle, Ray, and his entire family, Thank you for all the hard work and effort you all put into our wedding. The food was wonderful (even though I didn't get a chance to partake in any of it), and the arch was beautiful. If there is something else I left out, thank you for that too! ;o)

My best friend, Stacey, Thank you so much for being there for me. We had some rough spots, who doesn't?, but we got through them together, and it only made us stronger. I am so lucky to have such a good a friend as you. Seeing you up there, looking so beautiful, made me feel more confident and that I could get through anything with you by my side.

Fred and Gerry, The two of you are the ideal couple and the best people (outside my family) that I know. Roger and I will strive to accomplish the same relationship that the two of you have made together. Thank you for the extra counseling, all the extra pre-wedding talking, and of course performing the ceremony. I could never have hoped for anyone better.

Aaron, Thank you for being there for Roger. As his best friend, and now a "best" friend of mine (haha, inside joke) I couldn't have hoped for a better guy. Thank you for bringing me my husband the day before the wedding as well. I thought I was going to go into a mental breakdown, and that was just what the doctor ordered to help me out.

Joe Vanhook, Thank you for taking such lovely photos! Since the photographer that my mom was going to hire, Natalie Turner, couldn't be bothered to even remember my wedding date as a friend, let alone as the hired photographer-didn't show up or even call, you saved the day with my professional photographs. I couldn't thank you enough.

Everyone else who helped with the photos, The disposable camera takers, my aunt paula, my good friends Ember and Stacey, and all the other ones that I've been able to get my hands on, thank you thank you thank you!

All the guests who braved the rude construction workers and the horrible road conditions, Thank you!! I can't apologize enough for all the hassle, but I'm so glad you all could make it.

Jennifer Loveland, The cake was amazing!!!! It tasted wonderful, and looked so beautiful. It looked even better than I could have hoped. Thank you so much for braving the roads to make sure we had the cakes. And, congratulations on the new addition!

If I left *anyone* else out, please message me, and I'll add you to the list!!!

In other news..the doctor update:
I went in on the 9th and talked to the doctor again. She told me that my thyroid was okay, my cholesterol was 44 (59 being the high end of normal), my blood sugars were a tiny bit elevated, but still normal, and my hormones seemed to test out okay; however, my insulin levels were high. So, she said because of those results she is fairly certain that my ovaries are PolyCystic. My ovaries are producing too much estrogen, which is turning into too much testosterone, which is causing my body to produce too much insulin to make up for it...because of that, it's making me a borderline type 2 diabetic. So I have to take Metformin, which is a diabetic medicine, to help with the insulin. Bad news...and the curse of genetics. The one thing I was really worried about with the PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome diagnosis is the ability to get pregnant when and if we wanted to. She seemed confidant that wouldn't be an issue, and said that the Metformin could actually get me pregnant easier. So, I'm taking one day at a time, and dealing with it. I'm glad I am fixing the problem now, instead of just blaming all my issues on my weight. I kept trying to tell the Health Department doctors that there was something wrong with me, but they kept blaming it on my weight...in the long run, it had absolutely nothing to do with my weight.

In good news:
Stacey invited me to go on a cruise to Mexico with her!!! I'm so excited! We're leaving this Friday actually. The actual cruise is for the 20th through the 27th. We leave from Galveston, Texas and cruise to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Yucatan and then Roatan. So, I'll be away for a whole week everyone! Don't worry about me if you don't hear anything from me. :oD

My ex-roommate's doctor is still trying to determine if she is polycystic or not, but one thing that the doctors have always been certain of is that it will not cause a problem with her getting pregnant whenever she decides to. I'm glad you were able to get an appropriate answer from a doctor who was willing to listen.

::hugs:: Have fun on your cruise, and take lots of pictures. It's good you're going now and not in August or September when a lot of people like to go -- smack in the height of hurricane season.

My good friend Morgan's doctor told her that she had PCOS and that is why she's not getting pregnant right now...that's the only reason it scared me in that department.

Thank you!! I've never been on a cruise, and never been to Mexico either!! So, be prepared when I return for a bombardment of pictures!! :oD

And no way would I go later in the year, you couldn't pay me enough! ::huggles back:: I needed the hugs actually..it's been a rough week, Thanks.
